I’ve spent the last month reading through the thousands of comments you left on my "I’m Done" video.

I saw men in their 30s who are already burnt out, and men in their 70s who finally escaped but wish they’d done it sooner. But there’s a question that kept popping up in my mind as I pack my bags for the Philippines.

"Now what?"

It’s easy to say you’re done with the machine. It’s much harder to figure out who you are when the machine stops telling you what to do. I call this "The Void." It’s that scary space between the life you left and the life you haven't built yet.

Most of us spend our lives being "anti" something. Anti-boss, anti-politics, anti-9-5. But if your entire identity is based on what you hate, you’re still tied to it. You’re just the shadow of the thing you’re running from. To be truly sovereign, we have to move from being "Anti-Work" to being "Pro-Self."

That is a terrifying transition because there is no one left to blame if you’re unhappy.

I’ll be moving to an empty house in the Philippines soon because I want a blank canvas. I want to see what I actually choose to bring into my life, rather than what society says a 44-year-old man "should" have.

The Funding: How the Plan Works

A lot of you ask how I can afford to sit in "The Void" without panicking. The answer isn't a secret inheritance or a lucky break. It’s a math problem I’ve been solving for years.

Freedom is a lot cheaper when you stop trying to impress people you don't like. But it still has a price tag. Here is just one small "Dividend Engine" I’m using to fund my unconventional path: The honest truth is there are many engines. Multiple Dividend portfolios, a small import business, and even a little YouTube income. I was mostly able to do all these things because of the things I removed from my life that allowed me to have more freedom of time and money to invest.

Current Portfolio Value: $77,667 Recent Major Distribution: XDTE The Goal: Paying for my life in Asia entirely through silent, passive distributions, especially growing my portfolio while other income sources do some heavy lifting.

This week, I added a new position in SCHX. It’s not an income-heavy play, but it’s a brick in the fortress I’m building. I document every move I make on my second channel, The Dividend Nomad, but I wanted to share it here so you can see that the "Now What" is backed by actual numbers.

Before You Go...

If you are currently standing in your own version of "The Void"—feeling done but not sure where the next step is—I wrote something for you.

It’s a 6-page letter called "The Unconventional Path." I’ve put together the questions I’m asking myself to find clarity, and I hope they help you find yours.

I’m still learning how to be a human being again. Thanks for walking with me.
