The Spreadsheet is over. The reality has started.
I’m writing this from the Philippines.
For the last few months, my freedom has been a collection of pixels on a screen. I’ve looked at my portfolios so many times that the numbers started to feel abstract. In a spreadsheet, $3,000 in monthly dividends looks like a fortress. In a quiet apartment in China, it feels like a win.
But standing at a currency exchange or booking a room in a new country has a way of "stress-testing" your philosophy.
The Stress Test
Most people wait until they have "perfect" numbers. They want $2 million. They want a 4% withdrawal rate that is guaranteed by the heavens.
I’m doing it differently. I’m stress-testing my freedom in real-time.
I’m here on a "reconnaissance mission" to see if the life I’ve designed on paper actually fits the man I’ve become. Is the internet fast enough for me to run this business? Is the cost of a daily meal going to eat through my capital? Is the "Void" as peaceful as I hoped, or is it just loud in a different way?
The January Final Totals
Before I left, I sat down and did a final audit of every move I made in January. I sold my positions in HOOW and PLTW to lock in my rent. I’ve secured my shelter for the next 24 months.
If you want to see the exact breakdown of my distributions and why I chose safety over yield this month, I just posted the full video here:
Why I’m really here
Sovereignty isn’t about being rich. It’s about being untouchable. When you know your rent is paid by a silent engine (the portfolio & some other sources) and your life fits into two suitcases, the world loses its power to scare you. You stop being a "battery" for the machine and you start being the architect of your own days.
If you’re still sitting at your desk, looking at your own numbers and wondering if you have "enough," I want you to read the letter I wrote. It’s the internal map I used to get from "I'm done" to "I'm here."

I’ll be sharing some "boots on the ground" updates from the Philippines over the next few weeks. No fluff. Just the math and the reality.
Stay sovereign,

This isn’t motivation.
It’s not hustle culture.
And it’s definitely not “get rich quick.”
This is a weekly reflection for men who feel like something is off — even if they can’t fully explain why.
