Hey,

The other day, I posted a video that probably wouldn’t make me many friends back in the corporate world. It was called "The Video Your Boss Doesn’t Want You to See."

Why? Because your boss doesn't just pay for your time. They rely on your dependence.

When you have a $2,000 mortgage, two car notes, and a "status" to maintain in a high-cost US suburb, you aren't an employee. You’re a prisoner to the paycheck.

The $1,000 "Freedom Gap"

Most of the guys I talk to think they need a $2.5M portfolio to "retire." That number is so high it feels impossible, so they just stop trying. They keep grinding, getting more burnt out, and waiting for a "someday" that never comes.

But here is the math they don't want you to see:

  • In the US: $1,000/month in dividends barely covers a car payment and insurance.

  • In my current life in Asia: $1,000/month covers my rent, my food, my gym membership, everything .

When you change your geography, you change your timeline. You don't need to be a millionaire to be free; you just need to cover your "Base Freedom Number."

Start Your Exit

If you're feeling stuck, wondering if this is "it" for the next twenty years, I want to start building your own exit ramp today:

Do an audit. Look at all your debt, how much is it?

Look at all your assets, (home and other valuables) and determine if your assets are greater than your debt.

If your asset value is greater than your debt, we’re already halfway there. If not, we need to make a plan to reverse the situation ASAP.
